Description    Jesus says farewell, "shalom",  to His disciples and explains His reasons for leaving as He gives further instruction, encouragement and comfort. This is not a sermon but Jesus sharing His heart with His few friends. He is leaving, but not abandoning, His people.     This drama can be done with a full cast and uses members of the local congregation to play disciples, scribes and Pharisees. It is equally effective and exciting as a one-man presentation by Dennis Cole as Jesus.     If doing this as a one-man presentation Dennis will require the same setup as in Sermon On The Mount.

Logistics & Setup       If using a full Cast Casting & Rehearsal: 3 men to play Peter, John & Phillip/Thomas, 3 or more others as support cast. Casting for the Last Supper  will be done ahead of time, before we get there. The cast needs to work on their parts ahead of time. We will provide scripts for them. The Last Supper is labor intensive and needs at least a 4 hour rehearsal time prior to the event. We usually do this rehearsal the day before the event. We will do our best to work within every body's schedule. Sound Management: If possible, in addition to the cast members, we would like to have the person responsible for sound management to be available during at least part of the scheduled rehearsal. Dennis requires a lapel mic and we will also need a handheld mic. Our music and sound is on CD Costumes: Cast members will provide their own costumes. All cast members need to bring leather sandals or if that isn't possible, barefoot is fine. Props: A music stand or small podium and a small table. Your altar or communion table may suffice for this. Clear the pulpit area. Arrival Time: DCM & local Cast will arrive at least 1 hour before the service starts to work out last minute details. Rooms & Water: Two rooms are needed for the men and women to change into costume. Also, please provide water. Information Table: A table or space on a table for information about this ministry to be set out. It doesn't have to be a large space but we would like it if it could be in a visible location.
